Fewster Way is just a short walk from the City Walls and is a great, but quiet and cosy place to stay. I like the bright colours of the decor. The apartment has a great view of the Foss with barges, swans and geese.
Its easy to get to all the shops and attractions and there are lovely riverside walks.
This was our second stay here, would highly recommend.

A great central location, not only for visiting York, but as a base for exploring Yorkshire further. Comfortable and cosy, well-furnished, terrific Wi-Fi and easy to contact the owner or housekeeper. A marvellous stay.
Just spent a week staying here. Loved everything about the flat and location. Flat was ideal for my hubby and I. Lovely and clean with all you'd need for a home from home type of break. The flat is ideally set at end of a quiet cul de sac and overlooks the river Foss. If you struggle climbing upstairs the flat is on 2nd floor. The only noise was the geese as they seem to like the grass beside this part of the river at about teatime before flying off for the night. We travelled to York by train and a taxi from the station was £5 approx. Centre of York 10 -15 mins walk to visit The Minster, Shambles etc
We didn't need to cook for the entire week as there's Wetherspoons just 2 min walk away( ideal for breakfast) and numerous restaurants and take aways within 5mins walk. You'll need to take tea, coffee sugar if you fancy a cuppa. There's a Sainsburys Local and Tesco Local open till 11pm on Piccadily which is the street into town next to Wetherspoons/|Travelodge.
We'll definitely book this flat again for our next York visit.

I will get the only issue out of the way first. The Wifi was adequate but rather slow. The owner is planning to look into this. Otherwise everything was really good from location, just outside the city walls, and view, especially if you like swan watching, to the décor of the living room and the equipping of the kitchen (a goodish kitchen knife for example) and bathroom (bath handles and a non-slip mat for the bath.) I could connect my iPod to the nice little stereo and there was a good range of TV channels.
All in all, a place I would be happy to live in all year round. Very quiet but still very connected to the outside world.

This house gave me the perfect base for two week of home away from home. The location of the property could not be better: a pleasant view overlooking River onus and an easy stroll into the heart of the city. The house is well equipped, spacious and comfortable. The city of York and its surroundings can easily entertain adults and children for a solid week and at the end of that there will still be many attractions left.
