If you’re into trains, you’d give this a 5 stars. It’s an interesting place with lots of i information about all of the trains, I found the mechanics area the most interesting off all to view trains and carriages being refitted.

Be mindful that there is a restaurant but it is very over priced - as most places like this are. The tea rooms however do deserve a visit if you can justify the cost - I believe you need to book ahead for this.

This is a great family outing. It is free. Although they do ask for a donation when you get your entry ticket. The carpark across the road charged £10 for the day. There's toilets,a souvenir shop and cafe. Lots of interactive stuff for the kids to do. Allow a couple of hours.

Full of families with screaming kids and middle aged men dragging their wives around. It looks good and for train buffs is probably heaven.

A good day out meeting up with friends. Coffee in the Dining Car was really good. Lots to see for all members of the party.
