We stayed here for 3 nights in September while on holidays from Ireland and were delighted with our choice. Only 10 minutes walk to the Town Centre, it was the perfect location for a short stay. Julian, our host, is a real gentleman. Friendly and helpful, he couldn't have been nicer. Our room was clean and nicely decorated. Breakfast was excellent and really sets you up for the day ahead. There is on street parking which Julian gives you a permit for. The road itself is quiet and guarantees a good nights sleep. We would recommend the Aaron Guest House to anyone thinking of coming to York for a visit. Hopefully we will be back, Thanks Julian for such an enjoyable few days.

This is a fabulous place to stay. It's easy walking distance into the town, the rooms were very nice indeed and Julian a lovely host. He suggested places for us to eat after we had walked the town and since he was going out that night even gave us his mobile phone number just in case we should need him (something I have never found in any other guest house!). Of course we didn't need him BUT when we got home I did leave him a note asking about hair dryers for the two rooms we had booked. When we got up in the morning the dryers were just outside our door. The breakfast room is very lovely all done up in blue and white and he served a very nice breakfast indeed. We almost felt sorry to leave the next morning we felt so comfortable there. Thank you Julian for making our stay in York so nice.

Easy to find, near to the York Football stadium. On road car parking with free permit during stay. Very close to the old town center (about 10 mins walk). The owner is a very friendly and helpful gentleman, the rooms are tidy and clean, the breakfast is a delight. The nights sleep was quiet and comfortable. Overall an excellent place to stay for a weekend break.

We only decided to do a weekend in York last weekend so accommodation choices at a reasonable price were slim. Aaron House had availability and Julian contacted us straight back.

An excellent host accommodating our late arrival on Friday and allowing us to leave our bags after check out. Super friendly!

I would book early as we had the last available room which was small with it's bathroom down the hall. Breakfast was the standard 'full English'. In a good location though, only a short walk to the minster and town centre. It also has parking.

Accommodation in York seems expensive so this is quite reasonably priced.

I have recently stayed in Aaron Guest House and had a great time. We were welcomed by Julian, the owner of the guest house and straight away he made us feel at ease by showing us around and then having a having a discussion about where we were from whilst telling us a bit about himself. The location of the guest house is very convenient and only about a 5 minute walk to York Minster. The rooms were great and ideal for what we were needing as we were planning on exploring the city for the 2 days we were there. We were served an excellent full English breakfast prepared by Julian which hit the spot first thing in the morning. Would also like to thank his son and wife, although we didn’t get the opportunity to talk to them, we know that they help out too. Overall, excellent place to stay with nothing bad at all and could not have been any more pleased. If visiting York again, this is the place we will be staying. Thanks very much for the hospitality Julian.
