Perhaps it was due to the gorgeously sunny weather but Blenheim Palace really is a stunning place. The grounds are so varied, from formal gardens to cascading waterfalls, a lake and numerous varieties of trees. There is enough here to easily fill a day, we wished we had brought a picnic. The house is worth popping your head into to have a look. I think like a lot of stately homes, once you've been i you've probably seen it. Whereas the grounds I could keep going back throughout the seasons.
Its a little pricey at £26 per adult for house+gardens. We used some tesco clubcard vouchers to boost and get one of us in for a lot cheaper. Definitely worth looking at. If you live nearby and think you would return theres the option of converting fully paid tickets to annual passes for free.
Overall Blenheim Palace offers a fantastic day out for all ages.
