I lovd la tasca. It's one of my favourite places to eat! However on this occasion the food wasn't great! But of a disappointment for Mother's Day. The chicken wings were cold, the ribs were unedable as were just completely fat. No meat what so ever. Meat in the paella was hard. Such a let down.
However the staff were polite and helpful!

We went to the restaurant due to it being our favorite place to eat, we have been many times over the years even before we had children,we came at 5.50 with our 2 children seated then didn't have our drinks orders taken until we asked at around 6.20! Our drinks took another 10 min to come! We then had to tell a waiter we were ready to order, we chose the Mother's Day menu, as regular customers we know exactly wat a bread and oil starter is so wen a portion came a third of the normal side we considered this very poor! Our main meals arrived and we both ordered chicken Marbella but mine had half the amount in the dish as my partners! Also his patatas bra as were burnt and mine were under done! On the dessert our children ordered brownies with strawberries they were brought grapes they don't like grapes we were offered ice cream instead?!?!?! During the meal several times of food that didn't belong to us were brought over, we felt quite hassled! On the bill being fetched we were charged for the "complimentatry mums cava" I had to then wait for them to rectify that! I spoke to the manager Steve who agreed the night had bed. Strange and they'd had complaints and would get me some gift vouchers sent to me! I hope this happens as feel as tho it ruined my Mother's Day and that I might as well av thrown £50 in the bin!

The food was great, the waiter however was terrible. Upon arrival the hostess advised us that the mothers day menu could be upgraded for £2 to unlimited tapas which sounded great. However, once we had ordered, the waiter came and told us we couldn't have the starter we wanted as it wasn't on the unlimited menu and that was the real menu and therefore there wasn't a button on the till. This went back and forth for some time, and in the meantime we ordered two glasses of wine and received a bottle which we the waiter couldn't understand why we didn't want it (because we were driving!) In the end we just took the bottle. We then waited half an hour for our troublesome starters which never turned up. Our tapas arrived and the poor (but very good server) had to sort out the starters for us as the waiter was no where to be seen. Which then proved a problem with ordering unlimited tapas since we had to keep finding someone else to order extra tapas from. We eventually received our starter after our first round of tapas. The food was great and the servers( the ones bringing out the tapas were great and seemed to be working really hard - while our waiter strolled around looking out of the window) When asking for the bill the waiter then tried to charge us for the free cava we received as part of the mothers day menu. I've been to this restaurant before and everything was great, it was a pity that there was just the one waiter who seemed to have no clue what he was doing, especially on Mothers Day when its obviously going to be busy.

We finishes our drinks but were not offered any more. It took a while to get the bill and then even longer for our waiter to take our payment. And it wasnt particularly busy.
Food was great as was the atmosphere so will be visiting again.

Five of us went on Wednesday night, we changed our booking from 8pm to 7pm without a problem. We had a load to eat and drink for £125 for five; two tappas dishes each, which we shared, a fish paella and three different share for 2 desserts, including the cheese, which was great; a bottle of Faustino and a jug of Sangrilla and the Tappas dishes were delicious and evidently cooked from fresh.
I didn't get our waiter's name but he was kindly and patient as we made several supplementary requests. The service was prompt and attentive and a very enjoyable experience overall.
