The breakfast had to be sent back twice and was still cold. Given it was over £20 each, it's not worth getting breakfast there. They were completely understaffed, I assume owing to it being half term. Why te management did lay on more staff to cope with the demand, is beyond me. We were there for our anniversary, but the place we stayed in the night before was 10 times better and for under half the price.

No problem with the hotel but the spa pools and saunas were dirty and badly managed and lacked attention to detail. The spa was a big factor when choosing the hotel so the overall experience was let down by the upkeep of the facilities.

Christian in the vellore restaurant was brilliant.
Everything else was disappointing. Our bathroom was dirty. The grouting was discoloured and The bedside tables were dusty. The newly refurbished rooms were badly lit and bare. The hotel was keen to tell us the skyline rooms were refurbished but in my opinion the walls were just painted and needed wall paper to give a luxury feel. And the bathrooms were NOT refurbished.

Amazing service, amazing food, amazing room. Nothing was too much trouble for the team at the hotel. Jeremy the butler was amazing and sorted anything for us and Natalie in the Spa did not disappoint with a massage and nail treatment. I was slightly disappointed that our stay would not contribute towards the loyalty scheme (we were not told about the scheme until checkout!) We will be visiting again.

We booked a room here through Secret Escapes and got a very good deal.

The driveway to the hotel is lovely and long leading up to a beautiful building. The entrance was spectacular and staff, when we checked in, were lovely and helpful.

They told us we had been upgraded to a suite - that was music to my ears (we'd had a difficult journey down so that went down well). Our suit had a large bathroom, a hallway, a large sitting room and a large bedroom. The room was clean and well appointed and the bed was comfortable.

We used the Spa every day, the facilities were clean and nice, staff were very friendly and as hotel guests the facilities were easy to use. We enjoyed swimming in the pool and lounging about in there, it was very relaxing.

The hotel is situated a short walk out of town, took us ten minutes to get in each day walking. Staff were knowledgable about town and things to do.

This is one of the nicer hotels I've stayed in while in the UK and I'd recommend it to anyone. Really lovely..... If you can get a deal on it, even better but full price wouldn't be a hardship for somewhere like this.

Room Tip: We stayed in the suites to the back of the hotel, they were lovely.
