First of all the hotel donated our room as a prize for Cancer Research so a million brownie points for that.

We stayed here during the scorching Bank Holiday weekend so we couldn't have chosen a better time to stay.

The Tasburgh is a little bit outside Bath on the Warminster Road, a 10 minute drive or 20 minute walk into the centre of Bath.

We stayed in the Lewis Carroll Room which was very well appointed if a touch on the small side for what we'd be paying. However, the room does have a lovely terrace overlooking Bath, which was quite magical to sit at in the glorious sunshine.

The bathroom had a state of the art shower, which was great, but was a little narrow for my liking, however that's a subjective thing.

The staff were all very helpful and friendly. Fresh milk was readily available from Reception and brought to your room.

The breakfast was very good with proper squeezed orange juice and excellent coffee. I had the full English but my partner chose the continental which she said was good.

One small thing; neither of us could get the hotel's wifi to work as whenever we tried getting into the wifi another one we didn't have the user code for insisted we use that. However, that is a niggle really. We enjoyed our stay and would certainly return again.

Dear Alan

We are very grateful to you for writing this review and glad you enjoyed your stay. However, with regard to the WiFi there should not have been any problem. Had you informed us we could have corrected this immediately We understand that life without connection these days is not acceptable. In the case of internet dropping out we have 24 hour call out with local engineers so at worst we can rectify any drop in connection, as long as we are informed of any problems.

Tasburgh House has great views overseeing Bath in it's back garden which itself is really nice, decorated with a lovely fountain. We had the whole hotel booked for my sister's wedding and I had the 'Wilde' room. Parking is very limited but since we had the whole hotel, parking wasn't that much of an issue as we could block cars in without worrying. My room was very accomodating and has it's own shortcut so I didn't have to walk through the rest of the hotel to get to my room. Continental breakfast was included with my room but any hot food was extra. I ordered a full English breakfast which I thought the portion was a little small but nice nonetheless.

Yet again, we return to this wonderful hotel. We are always guaranteed such a warm welcome. Sue and her team really know how to look after you. If you want luxury, look no further. Accommodation, atmosphere and service all absolutely perfect. We wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else. If you haven't visited this hotel, I strongly advise that you book a visit.

One night only in lovely Bath. The hotel was immaculate, beautiful grounds view/ location and decor. Our room was so cosy and warm especially as we had heavy snow overnight. Service was professional informative and friendly. If I was to give a bit of constructive criticism( and this is being v picky) it would be the plates could be warmed for cooked breakfast as it had gone cool due to weather. I should have said but was hungry! We would definitely return to this gorgeous hotel.

Hi Sally,
Thank you for such a positive review. We're very glad you enjoyed your stay and pleased you were comfortable in our Hardy room.
We are very disappointed that your plate was cold, our warmer is always set to 'hot', so on this occasion we cannot offer an explanation!
We hope to welcome you back soon.

I strongly recommend Tasburgh House to everyone visiting Bath and - indeed - Somerset. Everything was great, pleasant and very British. Rooms were very clean, the hotel is basically in the City centre and we just simply loved our night there. We shall hopefully return soon.
