You will want to stay here when in Bath!! This B&B is the best. The home has been modernized and is chic, but it still has the quaint charm that comes with a house in Bath. We stayed in a triple room and we were comfortable. Peter is the innkeeper and goes out of his way to make his guests feel special. Our room had fresh cut flowers from the garden. Our breakfast was very good and beautifully presented. There is no lift, but we had help with our heavy bags. We would definitely stay there again.

I am sure my wife and I would have enjoyed our two nights at Marlborough House under any circumstances, but because we arrived on the warmest July day in England's history (37 Celsius at Heathrow), we especially appreciated the fact that our bedroom (#5) was air conditioned -- the only such amenity that we encountered (or needed) in a two-week visit to the U.K. Peter, the owner, was a congenial and helpful host from the time I called to book our accommodations. He used his own car to "reserve" a parking place across the street, sat down with a map and helped us get oriented to Bath, and recommended two delightful restaurants -- one of which he called personally to wrangle a table for us on a busy night. The entire house is tastefully decorated, our room was quiet and comfortable, and the ample breakfasts were prepared to order. In sum, first rate all round.

We stayed for one night at Marlborough House. Peter made us feel very welcome and provided maps and great advice to get the most out of our short visit. We were offered a choice of two rooms and opted for a cosy room on the top floor with lots of atmosphere. Marlborough house goes the extra mile to offer more comforts than a branded 5 star hotel. I loved that the coffee, Tea etc was in proper jars rather than the silly sachets usually offered with plenty of milk. There was a complimentary decanter of sherry, fresh flowers in our room and a fridge containing the mini bar. Breakfast was great (best omelet I've had for a long time) and all served with friendly smiles. We would certainly return here next time we are in Bath. Thank you for your flawless hospitality.

I'm a professional speaker, so I stay in resorts and hotels for a living. I can't speak too highly of Marlborough House. Peter and his staff were astonishingly helpful, not just pointing out the city's many highlights but creating walking trips for us, providing wonderful recommendations, even discounts on attractions. The location is great, the atmosphere wonderful, the price fair, the house charmingly appointed. The room itself was spacious, clean and comfortable with a number of extras like free sherry. The free wifi was faster than the high speed Internet I have at home. And the breakfast was probably the best I've ever had at a B&B.

We stayed here in a large family room, which was great for the 4 of us. Peter was a great host and sat us down with a map and lots of recommendations which were much appreciated. Breakfast was good and Sarah was so pleasant each morning. Nice walk to downtown Bath (less than 10 min away) and very near several parks.
