Just returned from the Apsley House Hotel, after having a 1 night stay at the establishment. Parking spaces were good, we had a very friendly welcome, we were shown to the Mornington room. The room was superb and full of character, a 4 poster bed that was so comfortable. The bathroom had a slipper bath, and a shower cubicle, with hot towel rails. The bedroom was very clean with a fitted luxurious carpet , there was a small staircase leading to patio doors that went to the rear garden. The hotel's decor is well maintained, (The Duke of Wellington's residence!) There was a well stocked mini bar, with various drinks and snacks.
The staff are so helpful and friendly, the breakfast was superb, it was cooked to perfection! (It's no wonder it had won awards!!) It's location is about a pleasant 30 minute walk from Bath town centre. There's a bus stop directly outside the hotel entrance. I would definitely recommend this hotel, thank you for making our visit so delightful.!!!

What a lovely couple of days stay we had in this comfortable hotel. Great friendly staff, who couldn't do any more for us if they tried from the moment we checked in. This is what I would call a traditional English style very well run hotel. Lovely bedroom , with a great bathroom and everything you would expect in a top range hotel. Great breakfasts, had the full English , and was even asked if I would like some smoked salmon as well, and I did. Top notch . You can have fruit , cereals how much ever you want served in a lovely dining room with nice views of the gardens.

After a lot of walking looking at the great tourist attractions that bath has to offer, what a nice time to sit and have a drink or two in the lounge bar. This is a very comfortable area with a piano and a honesty bar which is a delight . You help yourself to your drinks and fill in your tab with what you've had. Love it , works so well.

As mentioned in other reviews , I would say that this hotel is a bit of a trott away from the centre of bath. A good 20/25 mins walk away . We didn't find this a problem as you can walk through the park and arrive at the Royal crescent and move on to the centre. A nice way to explore. Also there is a bus stop outside the hotel if you fancy a short bus ride , no issues .

Highly recommend this hotel for a stay in wonderful bath.

We stayed at Apsley House after spending Mother's Day with our daughter who is currently studying at Bath Uni. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel really welcome. We were met by Kate who was extremely friendly and helpful.
Our room, the Romantic Room, was lovely with a four poster bed and large bathroom. There were lots of nice touches in the room with tea, coffee, biscuits and toiletries.
Breakfast was superb with lots of fresh fruit. My wife and I both opted for the full English breakfast which was really tasty.
We hope to stay at Apsley again in the near future.

Room Tip: The Romantic room is a great choice

Booked this hotel for a Mother’s Day surprise, then called up to inform them my sister would now be coming with us last minuite but couldn’t afford an extra room. They added an extra bed for us with extra towels etc and an extra breakfast- all free of charge. It was lovely that they worked so hard to make this day special for us. We felt so welcomed and the rooms where absolutely beautiful. I am a hard person to please!... this is also my FIRST ever hotel review so that says a lot. Kate was wonderful, I will be returning in the future next time I’m in Bath.

Room Tip: Quiet rooms, 4 minuite drive into Bath town or a lovely 30 min walk.
