What a wonderful, secret hideaway!! The photos do not do it justice!! We went away for a birthday treat for my son, beautiful weather, lovely location and just a gorgeous home away from home!!

“A perfect home from home”
Reviewed 4 December 2015 for a stay in November 2015

We had such a happy long week-end at Charity Cottage. Spacious, comfortable with everything we could have possibly wanted - including a bottle of wine and a tin of biscuits on our arrival.

My four teenagers children and I wanted to stay for weeks and my husband was very jealous to have missed the week-end. We would love to come back for longer next time.

“great value cottage”
Reviewed 4 November 2015 for a stay in October 2015

We stayed over a weekend at this lovely cottage which is really well located and superbly equipped. Lots of space for our party of 8 and all very cosy and comfortable. The cottage had everything we needed and more plus the owner was friendly and the house spotlessly clean.

A great find.

This was an amazing trip. the cottage was spacious and homely and there was even a freestanding bath in one room. We had everything we needed and the location was stunning. i would certainly recommend it to anyone.

“Gorgeous cottage in idyllic yet convenient location”
Reviewed 21 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

The cottage has that lovely country cottage look on the outside and is in a blissfully quiet location. Inside it is surprisingly spacious with 2 big rooms downstairs so you can all spend time together in the charming kitchen diner or the living room. With old beams, thick walls and wood burning stoves it really feels 'rustic' but has all the mod-cons you might need from dishwasher to wi-fi and has been done up very nicely. There are also bikes you can borrow for free. We were very pleasantly surprised to find lots of toys and games at the house too. Our one year old was also very taken with the wild rabbits living in the garden!

I didn't know this part of Somerset well but it had the benefit of feeling really away from everything and yet just a short drive to lots of great places to visit. The nearest village is charming with a couple of lovely places to eat. There are lots of easy walks to do (we have a little one to carry so didn't try any longer ones). Within half an hour we got to Longleat which I would thoroughly recommend and to Wells and Wokey Hole. Frome is just a 10 minute drive away with its lovely shops and cafes. There were lots of other places we could have gone in an hour or under if we had wanted to but we had a very relaxing and enjoyable week together as a family without spending much time in the car which was very nice indeed!

We could definitely see ourselves staying there again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others. Its is perfect for a family get-together.
