Description: Tagine Zhor is an authentic Moroccan restaurant run by the Casablancan Moroccan born owner. He takes pride in his Fez cuisine because it is based on traditional recipes that have been passed down from his loving Fez born grandmother "zhor" to him. It is the only finest Moroccan restaurant in Bath and probably in the whole South West of England. The perfect place to experience real Moroccan food cooked and served in a distinctive and traditional manner together with genuine warm hospitality in absolute beautiful Moroccan surroundings. Most meals begin with the simple selection of hot and cold mezze which might include hommos, Olives and Baba Ghannouj served with flat bread. The Tagine may come next served with Cous Cous, rice or Bread. It is a stew made of lamb, Chicken, Fish, Beef, kofta and Basilla. A single plate of dessert will usually consist of baklawas . They are sweet pastries dripping in honey or dusted in icing sugar marks the end of the meal before fresh mint tea or Arabic coffee are served. Do not forget to take a seat on outdoor terrace and enjoy the Shisha pipe and its flavour of tobacco. Also pay a visit to our gem Bazaar Shop downstairs featuring beautiful and unique handmade Moroccan items "great idea for gifts"

recommended by my son who visited last year with his girlfriend, excellent lamb tagine and wife's chicken tagine. breads light and full of flavour. Wifes halumi cheese starter excellent though my soup was filling if a little bland and struggled to finish all the main Tagine course. Excellent succulent lamb off the bone with prunes, almonds and egg was delicious. Moroccan house red was excellent Cinsault though on the pricey side at £7.95 for 250ml glass. Didn't get the 10% discount off main course although showed Bath Rewards ard when ordering. but food so good didnt mention. service welcoming too. Will visit again.

What a great little restaurant. Be sure to book though, loads of people were disappointed with there being no room. The food was very tasty and authentic and the staff very friendly

This restaurant is close to everything. The food is very tasty and it is good fun to try several dishes. We had a vegetable tagine and added the chicken, sausage and lamb and also got lamb kibbeh. Two people shared this and it was excellent. Nice staff, very accommodating. Sorry no food picks-I was too excited and dug right in.

Having travelled to Morrocco a few years ago io have long been after an authentic restuarent and found this place in Bath. The food was excellent as was the ambience and service provided by the staff. Be prepared to pay about £40 per head for a decent 3 course meal with soft drinks, but well worth the price
