Description: Tagine Zhor is an authentic Moroccan restaurant run by the Casablancan Moroccan born owner. He takes pride in his Fez cuisine because it is based on traditional recipes that have been passed down from his loving Fez born grandmother "zhor" to him. It is the only finest Moroccan restaurant in Bath and probably in the whole South West of England. The perfect place to experience real Moroccan food cooked and served in a distinctive and traditional manner together with genuine warm hospitality in absolute beautiful Moroccan surroundings. Most meals begin with the simple selection of hot and cold mezze which might include hommos, Olives and Baba Ghannouj served with flat bread. The Tagine may come next served with Cous Cous, rice or Bread. It is a stew made of lamb, Chicken, Fish, Beef, kofta and Basilla. A single plate of dessert will usually consist of baklawas . They are sweet pastries dripping in honey or dusted in icing sugar marks the end of the meal before fresh mint tea or Arabic coffee are served. Do not forget to take a seat on outdoor terrace and enjoy the Shisha pipe and its flavour of tobacco. Also pay a visit to our gem Bazaar Shop downstairs featuring beautiful and unique handmade Moroccan items "great idea for gifts"

Great choice for the first day of our holiday. Attentive owner. Could have eaten the dips until I popped.

Well, I say curry it was a hot and cold style Moroccan food. It was excellent and not something I’ve tried before.

If you like Chinese food, it’s nothing like Chinese food but it’s very tasty and I recommend it.

Our friends were visiting the UK and after reading the reviews on tripadvisor we book a table. It was an excellent choice. The cocktails were delicious and the food was just as good. The bazaar shop, which you have to walk through, is slightly strange. However, it was a really nice atmosphere and the lunchtime deal is really good value for money. We would definitely go again.

So glad I found this restaurant via tripadvisor. It is well situated near the Abbey and though small the staff turned the tables quickly without making guests feel rushed.
The menu is huge, both a meat eater and vegetarian delight
We started with a mix of hot and cold mezze - including a great recommendation from our waiter. I could have happily eaten mezze all night.
For main we enjoyed traditional tagines served with fluffy couscous. They were tasty and incredibly hot!
For dessert we relaxed with some delicious baklava’s and refreshing mint tea.
I highly recommend this restaurant for both its food and atmosphere.
Book to avoid disappointment
