Great Location near Restaurants and Pubs. Owners were an absolute delight to deal with and room was very comfortable and clean.
Breakfast is a special treat with croissants to die for.
Also serve a nice pint of ale.
Very pleasant all round
Thank you

Room Tip: No idea but our room was great.

We had high hopes for this BnB/ Pub with its fantastic location and Nordic interior aesthetic on the website.
The welcome at the bar on arrival was so cold which matched the temperature in the bar. The warmest greeting was from the dogs.
Such a shame the bar was empty the whole weekend over 3 days and it’s not a surprise as they have created zero atmosphere. They need a log burner or open fire and a smile.
So annoying as I do believe this could be a treasure in Bath.
Bedroom was clean, but black and scruffy corridors make you feel like you’re entering a grimey nightclub. Bedroom 13 has the worst design layout, bathroom is so narrow your knees touch the wall when on the toilet and it doesn’t have a fan or window to stop damp after showering. Lack of mirrors and lighting for getting ready. No shelf space or room around the tiny hand wash basin. Black grout in the shower where the tiles partly disguises the mildew.
Bed was very comfortable.
Windows however are single glazed so noisy and stream condensation every morning. No kettle in the room so you have to try and use the coffee machine to put water through but you can’t refill the water bottle as it doesn’t fit in the tiny sink ?!
Breakfast offering was ok, all cold, help yourself pastries, toast, cereal. Again that was ok but zero atmosphere or conversation from the host and he didn’t clear a single table whilst we were eating so a couple that had left, and then us the dirty tables stayed like it even when we had checked out. They just don’t seem like they enjoy running this place ?! Shame, it could be fantastic in the right hands.

We nipped in here for one as we were desperate for the restroom after wandering around the royal circle. 3pm so very quiet but pleasant service and nice beer/wine. Random moment when some guy came in to ask to have his frozen supermarket pizza cooked but the barmaid handled it very well. Good local or stop off bar

In this day and age I cannot believe that places like this still manage to operate. We arrived to an empty pub. One member of staff (very pleasant) who informed us they were closing that night and we would have to eat elsewhere. He offered to bring drinks to us before he left. The bed had an old door as a headboard ( supposed to be trendy but not fixed) . One bedside lamp so only one person could read without Main light on. No kettle, no milk, just a coffee machine and tea bags !! No heat in the bathroom and it was cold. No shampoo just body wash. Shower tap was too stiff to turn, had to get husband to man handle it into working. Not impressed and it spoiled our trip. You have to park 500 metres away and get up for 8am to put money in ticket machine. The negatives go on and on ..............

Room Tip: Not able to advise.

One of the worst places I’ve stayed in as a regular traveller. Overpriced considering basic quality of the room and breakfast. What was provided, together with the general refurbishing, seemed to be at minimal cost and effort to the hotel management. In the room there was just one twin plug socket, no clean towels were provided to replace used ones and the coffee machine was cheap and temperamental. Had to go downstairs to the bar to ask for a coffee and was given a dirty stained mug before asking for a clean one. Picked up a plate at breakfast which was also dirty. Room windows were flimsy and did not shut properly. I realise the age of the property prevents double glazing, but there are ways around this The room shook when busses drove past. This outside noise made sleep difficult. Complained to a member of staff downstairs the next morning, who said to speak to the manager later that evening. When I did he was unsympathetic and suggested I not stay in city centres in future. No apologies. Nothing. The manager was arrogant and seemed more concerned with running the bar rather than the hotel. Preferred to abandon breakfast in the morning and checked out ASAP. How its own website describes itself as a ‘boutique hotel’ is beyond belief.

Room Tip: Choose another hotel
