Only reviewing the pub as never stayed in the accommodations of the Railway inn. Very nice pub with a great selection of ales, lberta and spirits. Very nice bar staff and very nice atmosphere. Pool table and Jude box makes this pub a very nice place to come and have a drink with friends

Just returned from a super Easter weekend at the Railway. Shirl was great, made us really welcome, everywhere was spotless, watched the cleaner cleaning the bar and she took a lot of care to ensure that it was 100%. Breakfast was superb and set us up for the day, top class produce. Went in the bar in the evening and the locals were really friendly and joined us in with the pub quiz.would definitely stay again, and look forward to next time.

Room Tip: Just three rooms, single twin and double

Only just leaving our comments after staying last February, we enjoyed our two night stay. Our double room was furnished nicely and provided what we needed. The ensuite was looking a little tired but was perfectly ok to use.

Now regarding noise, yes, it's a pub... The best way to handle the noise is to go downstairs and join in! They're a friendly bunch at the Railway.

The full English breakfast was superb, one of the best.

Value for money, this is a good place to stay in Aldeburgh.

The Railway Inn is a great place to stay. We were made very welcome and were pleased to be asked if we wanted veggie sausages for our breakfast, as we are vegetarians. Nice pub, decent room, excellent beer from Adnams and a very thoughtful host, Aldeburgh is a very good place to visit and we hope when we come back to stay at the Railway Inn. All the Beatles, Elvis and Rolling Stones stuff and posters and photos about Aldeburgh are fun as well.

lovely stay at the railway which we have visited before - and again no complaints. we where worried standards may have slipped after reading a review below which highlighted it may not be as good as our last visit but we had nothing to worry about. aldeburgh is a beautiful town but accomodation can be over priced but shirley and karl have got it spot on. we enjoyed a glass of wine in the sunny beer garden which is obviously paid alot of attention to as was beautiful. we stayed in the double room which was clean with crisp sheets and en suite bathroom with fab power shower. to be honest there was some noise in the evening which you expect in a local pub but nothing extreme and all was quiet by around 11. breakfast was delicious cooked to order and using local ingredients. really lovely stay would recommend to anyone looking for fun by the seaside!
