Description: We knowthat not everyone wants the same thing from a pub. You might want a pint of local real ale at the bar ... A bottle of wine and a grazing board on the sofas ... A meal in the dining room ... A really good coffee and a read of the paper ... Take your pick. If real ale is your thing, look no further. We offer our own Brewshed Best Bitter and Pale Ale plus a couple of guest ales. We're passionate about wine and have created an award winning list Which offers a selection of old favorites combined with some more unusual and quirky wines. The common theme is did we believe They Are all well made wines offering good value for money. Every single one of our wines are available by the glass (except some champagnes). On the food side, the emphasis is on good quality, seasonal produce and, wherever Possible, we source it locally. We love Sunday lunch and offer a great roast - bring the family or meet up with friends and catch up on your way. We're open from noon until late. So if you're in need of a locally roasted coffee in the afternoon, you know where to come. Free wi-fi is available Throughout the pub. What about the kids? Children are welcome in the bar before 6pm and 8pm in the restaurant but evenings are just for the grown ups. Our kids menu is Important to us. It is Aimed at children under 8 and each dish is freshly prepared. You can therefore order a roast pork or beef kids on Sundays. Where Possible, we are very happy to prepare smaller Portions from our main menu. Baby changing facilities, high chairs, activity sheets and crayons are available.

Good place to visit . Very busy bar area with plenty of choice in real ale. Food was very good especially the mussels starter. A bit noisy in the eating area as to open to the bar area, but didn’t spoil the evening

Our first visit to this classy pub. Great décor and friendly helpful staff. Just a snack at lunch time but the sandwiches were fresh and delicious. The white bait was also pronounced excellent. Drinks were priced very reasonably. Next time we visit Bury St Edmunds we will make a beeline for this smart eatery and try the restaurant fare.

I booked a table of 9 for Saturday 17th March for my birthday meal and had a fantastic time. They looked after us so well, service was quick and efficient, they didn't forget us and drinks never went empty. All 9 dishes were thoroughly enjoyed by everyone, and even though they were fully booked with lots of large parties the wait wasn't long.
Hats off to a fantastic team and thank you for making such a lovely evening!

This place is super busy but I just don’t understand why. The food is sub standard and the service is rushed. We were with friends we hadn’t seen in a long time and the waitress kept rushing us to order and interrupting our conversations. Not a pleasurable experience and the food was nothing special.
