Okay the marriot branding has left but essentially you have the bare bones of a decent hotel. We got a really good price per room, cheaper than the travel lodge nearby. The rooms are dated but they are clean and have decent linen and towels.
You get tea and coffee making facilities and a large tv.
Staff were helpful and friendly.
It’s a large hotel and you will not spot many people eating there, bar the coach parties the food was nothing special for the price. Wine was a ridiculous price in the bar and £3.90 for a pot of tea (1 tea bag, no extra water) a rip off. These prices need reviewing as the actual ambiance was good. A fair price will attract more customers.
Good size car park and great location for the coast and Newcastle.
Overall good. We would stay again.More
