I cannot award a Michelin Star but I have never given 2 thumbs up and that includes to Michelin restaurants. This is the best restaurant my wife and I have ever eaten at. Furthermore Adam Bennett is in the kitchen working his art. He also takes time to chat to customers.
Under £100 for two lunches, starters and main with wine.
The duck and accompaniments were simply exquisite. The flavours were wonderful alone and together exploded in the mouth. The technical skill, art and presentation in no way impaired flavour and texture.
There is only one problem and that is - it isn’t in my home town.
Double thumbs up to the best restaurant I have ever visited. Well done Adam. Keep setting the bar and don’t leave the kitchen like others who have rested on their laurels.
