We were visiting family over Christmas, they had a house full and we came across Salamander which was minutes away from our family and in a smashing location a few minutes walk from the town centre.
We arrived in Stratford by train from London and the Salamander is a very short walk from the station.
Pascal made us very welcome when we arrived at his home, and that set the stall for our stay, he is very funny man who immediately put us at ease and is a font of knowledge about the area.
Our room was very comfortable and very clean, our breakfast was most enjoyable and certainly set us up for our days.
Thank you Pascal for making our trip so enjoyable, we would most certainly return.

We love Stratford on Avon, so decided to stay the night in a b&b where we could walk to the centre.what a gem Salamander guest house was! Very good price for a nights stay, a lovely breakfast, but what made it was the owner Pascal, what a sense of humour! Breakfast was great fun, didn't want it to end! Will stay here again next time we go up north.

The hotel was lovely and homie to stay in. Pascal went over and above to make us feel welcome. He is funny informative. We arrived at 20.15 which want an issue. He settled is in and remembered our name and special dietary requirements. Lovely to the children and the loved staying there. Room. Was a family room with a shower room. Good enough we hardly spent any time there. It's close to everything you want to see in Stratford. Room was warm and cosy. Breakfast was lovely and he made hot chocolate for the kids. Parking is great at the back and he allowed us to keep the car there on our day of departure. I'll stay there again when back in Stratford upon Avon

A warm, entertaining and informative welcome from the owner. Generous English breakfast and ideally located close to town sights and theatres. Clean rooms/facilities and free parking behind the house.

We stayed two nights in room 5. This was clean and adequate. We feel comments about it being dingy a bit harsh.

The room was under the eves but we knew that. It was clean with cupboards and wardrobe. The bathroom was fine - clean and compact but you don't have a party in there.

There was plenty of tea n coffee in the room and I had brought with me hot chocolate.

The breakfast was ok cereal then cooked. A nice stay.

We enjoyed this and don't really understand the poor comments. There could be little tweaks that would improve the room but really it was ok.

There no mirror in the bedroom so drying my hair was a bit pesky while mum in the shower where the only mirror was.
The wardrobe could do with a handle or two as was tricky to open.
The large window to the flank didn't have a blind or draw-over curtain to keep out the light (just a net curtain). In the summer I guess the room would be light by 5am. Not good if you need dark to sleep.

However these are minor tiny thing which didn't spoilt anything. Pascal seems to have a lot of return bookings and didn't have any vacancies so he must be doing something right.

Thanks for a good stay
