Really good hotel very modern and clean in a great location for everything you may want to do in the city. Shopping bars restaurants etc.
Breakfast was average but not complaining as the cost for the stay was very good.
Will stay again.

2nd time in this hotel over the past couple of months and again has been a brilliant stay.

Location ideal for the city centre and not far from the bars of Broad Street or restaurants and shopping in the Mailbox.

The hotel is new and the beds are awesome, probably the best nights sleep I have had in an hotel in the UK....and I have stayed in a few top end hotels too!! Facilities are basis in the room but that is all you need really.

Didn't eat in the hotel other than the breakfast which was really good.....plenty of choice from continental to full English. They even have the option to grab and go where you can take coffee/tea out with you along with a Bacon/sausage sandwich.

Bar was reasonably priced and check in/out was faultless and all staff were really friendly and polite. Simon (who checked me in on arrival) was really polite and informative.

Can't wait to stay again!!

Easy find from New Street Rail Station (just make sure you exit at the correct exit, I think it is called Stephenson Street), turn left and head left, it’s so tall you can’t miss it. Had a really easy, friendly, helpful check in with map explaining where the Barclaycard Arena was (very close walking distance). The room was very well equipped with iron and ironing board, HDTV, aircon, hairdryer, it had nice modern décor and nice touches like pullout bedside lights. The bathroom was lovely and the shower was brilliant, it had a dial that allowed full power. Didn’t try the bar (Wetherspoons was only 5 mins away!) but the lounge area was very nice, newspapers and magazines, comfy meeting spaces. The all-inclusive breakfast was really good, the staff were attentive, I didn’t think they were going to replace some items with only 15 mins to end of breakfast time, but they did, and they let me know the items were available. I liked how takeaway paper cups were available too. Our expectations were really exceeded with this hotel. I suspect that prices may rise as this hotel establishes itself, but never mind, I was so impressed by this hotel I can’t wait to find another excuse to come to Birmingham!

Have stayed here a number of times on business. Once you've found your bearings the hotel is ideally located and in easy walking distance for New Street and the city centre. As the hotel is fairly new the standard of decoration and overall ambience is very good. Rooms are spacious with comfortable beds, very good free WiFi and well appointed bathrooms. My only criticism is a lack of in room safe. There are a few available near reception. Breakfast offers a good selection of hot and cold items although I personally think the standard of the bacon and sausage could be improved, but hey, you gets what you pay for.
Overall excellent value for money. Would strongly recommend for both business and leisure.

We arrived around 3.45pm on Saturday. I queued to check in for 45 minutes. There was a group of 5 men trying to check in and they had 2 people trying to check them in. The check in process was both long and laborious, not aided by the fact they couldn't find our booking. There was 2 other couples that were turned away as their booking wasn't found either. When after almost an hour we got the room keys we found a twin room. So back to reception....another 35 minutes of queuing later we finally got a double room.
The room was fine, standard Holiday in Express room but over 90 minutes to get satisfactorily check in marred any positives about the place. The staff were incompetent and inefficient.I can honestly say that I am unlikely to ever stay in any Holiday Inn again. I compare it to a visit to a Travelodge last weekend where despite being busy they were at least efficient.

I'm sorry to hear that your stay wasn't as good as expected due to delay at check in which is not acceptable and I will follow this up with my team members.

This is not our standard and I hope we will see you in the near future.
