So much to see and do. Brilliant exhibits from paintings, the Staffordshire Hoard, ancient cultures, but the best was Birmingham’s history. Plenty for kids to do, and a nice cafe too. The best bit is it’s free! A credit to the city of Birmingham. A must see.

Some excellent pieces here to appreciate. Must say, the modern art pieces failed to impress me, or maybe im more of a classical. In any case, not to eb missed for art lovers!

We always planned to visit this museum, but eventually found time to go! How lovely to see all these nice, old objects displayed as all the museums were in former days. And we did enloy the Edwardian tearoom. Good food for acceptable prices.

So after a disappointingf 30 minutes in the Library, I headed to the Museum and Art Gallery. Birmingham has been pretty affluent for quite a long time, and so has managed to get a decent collection of art and artifacts. Biggest draw for me was the early industrial history, and interesting insight into the 'Triangular' trade route that Birmingham made guns supported. Also a great exhibition on the Staffordshire hoard. Could spend a few more hours in there.
