After we’d booked flights, we decided to stay near the airport the night before as our flight was pretty early so we could get up at a reasonable time instead of starting our journey from home at stupid o’clock.
The reviews were pretty good and the photos look good too. When we got there, there’s a barrier and you take a ticket, it has your registration number on there.
There’s steep steps but also a ramp up to the entrance. Inside looks really nice and welcoming. I didn’t wait long to be seen. Jack was welcoming and explained everything, were to go where we parked our car. I assumed that we’d be parking our car in the main car park, but he told us we’d be going in the multi story just outside, you display an A4 paper with the dates you’re there for. I had concerns about the safety of the car, but they said it’s very safe.
Our room was on the same floor. It was a lovely bright and airy room but it didn’t have the best view. It didn’t matter as we were only there for one night.
We settled in and decided to try Marco’s which is Marco Pierre Whites restaurant. While in there, the reception was very noisy as there was a young boys football team and they were very excited. There was also an event going on in the big room, which turned out to be opposite our room.
We retired to bed and you could hear muffled music, but not loud and it didn’t last long into the small hours.
Our bed and pillows were really comfortable. We slept well. It’s unusual for me to sleep so well the first night in a strange bed.
We didn’t have breakfast as it’s £10 or £12 on the day.
The shuttle bus is every half a hour and stops for lunch at 13.00 I think for 2 hours. It finishes about 23.00. It takes you to the international railway station and then you get a 2 minute monorail which takes you to outside departures which is upstairs of the main airport check in.

We wouldn’t hesitate in staying here again. A lovely hotel.

Overall good hotel and close to airport with good airport taxis.

Disappointed with room for 3 adults and 1 child. The room was lovely and big but the bed in the lounge area was not big enough for an adult and a child. The bedding did not even cover both of them!

Also the room was only set up for two people and it took two calls down to reception to sort. The overworked girl then had to come up 3 times to sort!

The Marco Pierre restaurant was good but very very overpriced!!

avoid this hotel!!! they charge your credit card for parking without authorisation and also charge you to call them!

service in the restaurant is also very slow expect a 30 min wait between courses.

There are much nicer hotels in tge area without rip off charges.
