Lunch at Blanc’s with our friends is a regular pleasure on our occasional visits to Chichester.
As always the place was buzzing nicely when we arrived and we were swiftly welcomed and shown to our table.
This time, for me, the excellent Mediterranean Fish Soup, which comes with a nicely spicy rouille, followed by a very pleasant Duck Confit. My wife had the Mackerel Pate as starter followed by the Megrim.
Unfortunately the boiled potatoes with the fish were seriously under-cooked and had mostly to be left. An apology ensued - they were already aware of the problem – but this, I’m afraid, knocks the overall experience on this occasion down to four stars.
Still – these things happen – Blanc’s is still one of our favourite places and we will most definitely be back.
