Description: Probably the first craft beer bar in Britain. A cosy gem serving a massively varied selection of quality drinks, plus teas, coffees, and light bites to eat. One of the original pioneers of the Leeds bar boom, North has an unparalleled beer selection, served brilliantly by friendly and informative staff. Winner of the Observer Food Monthly's 'Best Place to Drink in Britain award. North is Leeds' coolest haunt for lovers of great drinks, music and art.

Nice bar with good music. We had cocktails although there is a good selection of beers. Didn't enjoy the girls that kept lying on the floor being silly.

It’s a really nice bar, I can’t speak for the food as I didn’t have any, nor would I want any due to the amount of fruit flies within the bar. The constant ‘clapping’ should be a giveaway. Sort it out, it’s disgusting having a fly in your £6 half pint of beer!

We popped in last night and the place was covered with fruit flies. Certainly didn’t make us feel like staying for a second drink

Popped in here for a snack and opted for their North Bar sharing plate at £14. Well-worth it as we had a beautiful pork pie, 3 cheeses, 3 meats, gherkins, mustards, half a loaf of raison-y bread. And washed down with some fab beers. What more can you ask for ?

Late night visit to this funky dive bar esque night spot with a friend. Great selection of beers, both local and international. I had a bottle of Daas Ambre, an organic, gluten free Belgian beer that I've never tasted before, my friend had a 1/3 of a pint of Imperial Stout from North Brewing company, who are the guys behind this bar. Both were lovely, the latter rather pokey at 10%! Friendly staff, would definitely visit again next time I'm in Leeds
