I moved to Leeds in 1986 & this was my local. A suburban Tetley pub with the landlord given a free hand for meals. Then it was excellent. it's had a few reincarnations along the way. Now it it part of the Greene King, Hungry Horse empire. All I had was a drink & the range of beers has improved. It used to be Tetley or possibly Burton Ale on a good day. Now you have Leeds & Kirkstall breweries as well as Greene Kings own. The food is pile it high & sell it cheap. You don't come here for a gourmet experience. Have to say it's not my sort of pub but the beer was good and the place is huge and was packed late on a Saturday pm so it's doing something right
