Having taken a wonderful trip on the Rheidol Steam Train on the occasion of our parents’ diamond (60years) wedding anniversary we decided to round the day off at Gwesty Cymru. We weren’t disappointed; the food was first class and celebrates all that is good in Welsh cuisine with the service being equally spot on. It was great to be able to converse with staff in both languages and they obviously take great pride in their work. They really did make two golden oldies feel special on their momentous day and us younger generation were more than satisfied with our choice of venue.
Da iawn pawb!

Pros:
- Beautiful views of the ocean from the front rooms.
- Very spacious rooms with modern decor.
- Very clean.
- Efficient, polite staff.

Cons:
- Parking can be a problem as it's on the street only.
- No air conditioning.

Would definitely stay again.

Room Tip: Ocean front.

From our check-in to our departure, we received fantastic service. This small hotel is located directly across the street from the beach and is within walking distance of everything. The bed was comfortable, the shower strong and their complimentary breakfast was on the top end of what we had during our month in Wales. Staff were fantastic in assisting us with travel plans and giving us directions. The option of eating dinner on the lawn outside of the hotel (again, directly across the water) was lovely for we enjoyed a gorgeous sunset. I'd not look at any other hotel if/when I return to Aberystwyth.

We are Oregonians, married and experienced travelers. We had the pleasure of staying one night in a lovely beachfront room at this delightful hotel and dining in the hotel restaurant for both dinner and breakfast. Simply said, this is a lovely place and well worth the experience. The room was contemporary and well done. The food was delicious. We want to particularly call out the courtesies of the owner, Huw, and his restaurant staff. If your travels take you here, you won't go wrong.

Easily the highest quality food in Aberystwyth and we ate in a lot of restaurants while we were here. When the sun is out the terrace out the front is perfect with a lovely sea view and buzzy atmosphere, it’s not surprising it’s a popular spot. Inside is decorated with lots of Welsh slate, service is friendly and professional and food is devine.
