It’s quite steep in places but worth the effort. Not suitable for push chairs but admission is free and dogs are allowed.

The wall walk is free. Not far from the Visitor Centre. Walk up one side along the wall and down a bit further along. Great views. Also an access at the back which is worth the walk down the path returning the same way.

I was a little wary of the steep steps at first, but the views from the walls were spectacular. The harbour, parts of the town that you would miss at street level and far reaching views of the surrounding towns were fabulous.
And it's all FREE.

Of all the churches we visited on our travel, this is the one which created the most memorable impression. It is architecturally beautiful, set into the ancient walls of Conwy & when we arrived at mass the Sunday after we arrived we were welcomed so graciously with requests to join them after mass for tea (sadly, we couldn’t, having a booking for later). Being a Welsh church we expected good singing, & they certainly didn’t disappoint! it was beautiful!
Just recently we read the sad news that the church was to close (before Easter, 2018) due to a dwindling congregation and lack of priests – so very sad.

The walls offer a unique perspective of the town and provide great vantage points for photographing the castle and surrounding area.
