“Perfect!”
Reviewed 19 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

Totally lovely cottage in stunning surroundings. The cottage has everything needed for a comfortable stay plus some little extras on arrival, bread, milk, wine and chocs, plus tea, coffee and sugar. This was our third stay at Red Dragon and it won't be our last, we absolutely love it. Our only problem with it is that we have to leave! It is the perfect base for getting around and about North Wales set in very tranquil and picturesque surroundings with several great walks within walking distance so you would never need to drive if you didn't want to. The village is just minutes down the road where there are shops and pubs that do meals and all very friendly. The cottage is warm and comfortable, perfectly located, has Sky TV and WiFi and most of all is dog friendly, even for my 2 huge hounds! Me, my husband and our dogs would recommend Red Dragon to anyone though we do like to keep it as our secret hideaway.

“Cosy cottage in beautiful part of Wales”
Reviewed 12 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

We stayed here for one week with our baby daughter. The cottage was really warm and cosy, with everything we needed for our stay, and the small touches from the owners (e.g. leaving a bottle of wine as a welcome gift) were really appreciated. The location is perfect to explore the beautiful surrounding countryside.

“A tidy little cottage with everything you need for your stay”
Reviewed 17 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Sygun Cottage is in the hamlet of Nant Gwynant, just under three miles north-east of Beddgellert on the A498, which is in itself a fantastically scenic road.

The apparently standard "Welcome Package" of wine, flowers, tea, coffee and milk was most appreciated after enduring the parking on the M6 around Birmingham. We were quickly installed in the two up, two down cottage, with en-suite facilities to both bedrooms.

Local supermarkets apparently deliver to the site, which is handy for internet shoppers, but there's a big Tesco only nine miles away at Porthmadog. The area is littered with narrow gauge steam railways for those interested but there's plenty else to see as well, with a good choice of National Trust properties. On top of that, pretty much every attraction in north-east Wales is within an hour's drive of the cottage.

If you're looking for a cosy little cottage with all the appropriate facilities and easy access to most anywhere in north-west Wales, you'd struggle to beat this. Wireless access can be purchased but you pray to unknown gods for a mobile signal!

“Excellent cosy cottage close to Watkins Path”

Stayed in Sygun cottage for a weekend to climb Snowdon using the Watkins path and loved it! Cottage was warm on arrival, keys were accessible in a little safe box and there was a complimentary bottle of wine! Showers had great pressure and beds were supremely comfortable. Living room had ample space to play board games and there was even a PS2 with games which was lovely and nostalgic. Kitchen had all the utensils needed and was clean and tidy. Parking was available right outside on the grass verge.

Email responses were rapid and friendly and location was excellent, no problem reaching it with GPS!

My only qualm was the need to pay extra for wifi which we didn't purchase but would have been nice to have combined in the overall package.

Overall, lovely place, easy to get to and perfect for climbing Snowdon using the Watkins path!
