“Beautiful location, beautiful cottage, amazing week!”
Reviewed 22 April 2015 for a stay in April 2015

Just back from a fantastic week at Ty Llewelyn (part of the Siabod Holiday Cottages) in Capel Curig.

We loved the cottage - it really felt like we were away from our busy lives and immersed in the mountains. Its in a spectacular location - part way up the mountain and with fantastic views all around. The conversion has been done well, and to a really high quality - underfloor heating, a wood-burning stove, comfy beds, good shower, nice wood used throughout. What was really nice was that Marilyn made us feel incredibly welcome but then left us to it - we picked up the key and then found some food supplies, welsh cakes and a lovely card welcoming us to the cottage and to Snowdonia :) We were doing a 1 week outdoors course, so really welcomed the comfort of the house in the evenings, and a warm fire around which to dry our clothes!

Well be back!

“Another great stay in the Siabod cottages”
Reviewed 6 April 2015 for a stay in March 2015

This was our second stay at the cottages but first time in Ty Llewelyn cottage. Yet again, it was a great stay with the cottage providing everything we needed whilst at the same time being set in a beautiful location. If you like walking then you have Moel siabod on your door step whilst the rest of the popular mountains are only 5 minutes drive away. The owners ensure that you have everything you need for a great stay and are always available or contactable to help or advise should you ned them. I would highly recommend staying here. We are are already booking again for next year.

“unique Experience we keep revisiting!!!!!”
Reviewed 28 February 2015 for a stay in February 2015

What more can I say we keep coming back and that says it all. We have so many happy memories of these cottages. I am here at the moment as I write this review and feeling sad that we have to leave tomorrow. It is the most comfortable, warm cosy but spacious cottage ever. The views are amazing as I type you look out across the valley to the carneddau range with a scattering of snow. The cottage is immaculately clean , bed is so comfortable we sleep like babies and so warm. All the modern things you need, great courtesy tray and stove to add to the romantic evenings . Everything you need in the kitchen . Ideal spot to climb their mountain Moel Siabod which we climbed on a stunning bitter cold day. Then onto Snowdon the next day. Great local walks from the cottage and the area takes your breath away . Last of all the owners Maz and Elwyn are so friendly and a ball. Thank you again and we will be back .

“Awesome”
Reviewed 24 February 2015 for a stay in February 2015

Wonderful cottage in the most beautiful location. Perfectly placed on the path up Moel Siabod and within striking distance of Snowden & the Glyderau. Well set up for families and the warm welcome was very much appreciated. Very clean, well appointed and communication with the owner was first class throughout the booking process and also during our stay. This is our third visit to these cottages and it most certainly won't be our last.

“Beautiful cotage in an amazing location”
Reviewed 7 January 2015 for a stay in December 2014

My wife and I and our dogs stayed at Ty Llewelyn over the Xmas period. The cottage was absolutely beautiful with underfloor heating, a very well appointed kitchen and stunning views across the valleys. Marilyn was very helpful, responded quickly to messages and requests, and was always available. The location could not have been better for walking, hiking and even the beach wasn't too far away which the dogs loved. ( really recommend Harlech Beach and the Beach at Newborough Forest on Anglesey)

All in all we really enjoyed our stay, and as quite a few reviews state, Marilyn had really thought about, in detail, the little extras that make the stay even more special.

One review mentioned the steep driveway to the cottage, this really is not an issue whatsoever, in fact, this actually added to the experience of feeling remote and secluded.

Plus, this road to the cottage gives you the elevation to be able to take in the amazing views from the cottage. You really are up in the mountains with this cottage, and you feel your all on your own which is exactly what we wanted.
