We have just returned from a weekend staying in Llondy in Penmachno. It's a lovely cottage, plenty big enough for 2 people with a really well equipped kitchen. The bedroom is actually pretty big, with lots of storage space. The weekend was extremely peaceful and quiet, exactly what we wanted. There are countless beautiful walks in the surrounding countryside and a mountain bike trail nearby if that's your thing. The owners of the cottage also run the local pub and they were very friendly and welcoming. We certainly recommend an evening in The Eagles. On the Saturday night we were treated to the local choir singing after a concert and they even kindly translated some of the Welsh for us! We will certainly be coming back in the spring.
This cottage was brilliant, the kitchen was well equiped with every cooking utensil you required. The sofa was very comfortable, especially with the woodburner stove going and the owners had provided more than enough wood for the days we stayed. The bedroom was also very comfortable. The bathroom was slightly small, but sufficient. I was a little apprehensive about the storage heaters but despite the rain, wind and snow, the cottage was kept very warm.
The cottage is in the middle of a small village outside of betsw y coed and has no mobile phone signal and there is no wifi in the cottage. However the owners own the pub opposite, which has free wifi if needed.

If your after a well priced, cosy cottage in the heart of Snowdonia away from the hustle and bustle of the big towns Llondy is an excellent option. A wonderful log fire and well equipped kitchen. Has all the basics for a great break.
