Fantastic place to stay. Patrick the owner was very accommodating and hospitable making the stay very special. The breakfast was amazing and we loved the home made marmalade. I would definitely recommend this venue to everyone.

We booked for six of us to stay at Alltybrain Farm Cottages, as we were attending wedding renewal celebrations nearby.

The owner of the farm was there to greet us, in a warm and welcoming manner.

We were shown to our rooms which were all immaculately kept and breakfast the next day was at a time we preferred. Breakfast included a variety of options - fruit, yoghurt, cereals, toast and of course a cooked breakfast.

If you love traditional and fancy some peace and quiet, this is the place for you.

Perfect location, being situated in the heart of Brecon, no doubt you'll find picturesque walking routes...especially as Pen Y Fan isn't too far away.

The children loved the board games, only tip is biccies in the room to go with the tea and coffee.

If you prefer privacy, then I recommend you stay at the Hayloft. As this is separate from the main house and comes with it's own lounge and kitchen area.

Thank-you for your hospitality.

Room Tip: If you prefer extra privacy, opt for the Hayloft

Wanted to stay in this b & B but how can they ran the business as nobody answers the phone. Somebody answers the mobile bit was not listening to the query instead saying no thank you, no thank you... They could have more guests if they can be contacted easily. They will be losing business even if the property is good if they cannot answer query by their guests.

We stayed a delightful week in Duck cottage. Patrick and Rose are wonderful hosts, there if you need them, yet it seems you have the farm to yourself. They were great in responding to our inquiry and very accommodating in every way. The cottage exceeded our expectations. The website, as complete as it is, hardly does it justice. The setting is bucolic and the cottage finish, both inside and out,is just as we would have wanted it. The bright, open living area has windows in every direction with pleasant view over the farm fields. There is a very private terrace with barbecue and table with great afternoon sun exposure. The bedroom was extremely large with good light and private views to the south over the sheep field. The bed, though comfortable, was a little less than ideal for a couple with two twins pushed together providing a gap in the middle. The bathroom was roomy and well outfitted with shower and tub. The kitchen had everything we needed for a comfortable weeks stay. Duck Cottage is the total package, well thought out, lovingly created, and immaculately cared for. I would return to Brecon if only for the opportunity of another stay at Alltybrain Farm.

Room Tip: Duck cottage was perfect

My partner and I went away for two nights and stayed at this lovely B&B

The room was lovely and inviting with beautiful views of the countryside. It was incredibly peaceful and we both slept fantastically in the lovely beds.
The bathroom was clean and and had a lovely powerful shower. (It's worth noting there is no TV in the room but this suited us as we wanted bit of an escape)

Breakfast was plentiful and good quality with plenty to choose from. Again the breakfast room was very nice with views out on to the local countryside.

Our host couldn't have been more friendly and we received a genuinely warm welcome. She has the right balance of being chatty but not intrusive and that helped to make it feel like a home from home. Our only slight niggle is that it might be good for them to offer guests keys to the property as she was late back one afternoon and we couldn't get in but again this is a small oversight and really didn't ruin our stay in the slightest.

The B&B is conveniently located 4 miles from Brecon and the national park so whilst you feel like you're in the middle of nowhere all the local amenities are only a short drive away.

We would definitely return, probably with our young daughters and would stay in one of the self catering cottages.
