Ideal self catering cottage

Review of Blaencar Farm
5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 24 Sept 2019
The cottage was spotless, well furnished, and very comfortable. Carol was incredibly welcoming and helpful. It is an ideal little get away, really well placed for walking in the Brecon Beacons. I had a five night break, and am looking forward to going back next year.

We stayed here for a couple of nights and we were welcomed by Carol who was a great host. The room we had was very comfortable and spotlessly clean with a lovely view over the hills. We really enjoyed the breakfasts too. The nearest pub, The Old Yew Tree was only a mile away which served lovely food. Would definitely recommend staying at Blaencar Farm and we hope to return again soon. Thank you for a lovely stay.

A very nice and ancient farm but modern and very convenient inside. The hostess was very friendly, the breakfast was delicious. The views were wonderful. We enjoyed our visit very much. I highly recommend it!

Carol was a great host and my wife, 11 year old daughter and I really enjoyed our stay. The room was large and very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent each day. The farm is located in beautiful countryside in a beautiful park of the UK. Highly recommended.

Carol was away at the Royal Welsh Show when we arrived - no problem; she had arranged for her friend to see us in. This is typical of the standard of service and consideration at this superb location on a working farm. Don't go if you are going to be put off by country sounds or miss bright city lights, but if you enjoy a country venue in beautiful scenery for your stay this is the place for you. And you won't go hungry at breakfast! There is a choice of a room in the farmhouse or the stable annexe att a small premium. This is also available fully equipped for self catering.

Room tip: Stable annexe fully equipped for self catering
