Not far from the main Swansea beach front, just up the hill and along the road and you are there, all of the beaches and bays along this coast have quite a steep drop down but they're worth it..

Sunday 25th March 2018 was a glorious, bright, sunny and quite warm day. We walked from Langland to Caswell and back along the clifftop path (2½ miles). The path is a bit rough in places and is very steep in one or two spots but most able-bodied people should find it walk-able.
Sea views from the cliffs are superb. A number of people told us that they had seen dolphins (or were they porpoises?) but we missed them.
Caswell Bay is beautiful, the tide was full in and there were a number of surfers making the most of the shallow waves. When the tide is in there is limited beach space but when it is out there is a huge expanse of sand, so it is important to time your visit if you want room on the beach.
There is a large car park with toilet facilities just across the road from the beach. We had parked at Langland and I presume that the car park fees are the same at Caswell (quite hefty car parking fees 1hr £1.50, 2hrs £3, All Day £5).
A couple of small shops selling beach items, a takeaway and ice cream counter; we popped into the Surfside cafe for a snack.

We were staying at an apartment overlooking the bay. What a fantastic view to wake up to and to come back to every day. An ever changing picture in the ever changing weather at this time of year. Rain, sleet, sun, cloud, mist - it looks great in all of them. So most days we went for a lovely walk along the beach. A great base for the Gower, so we also walked the coastal path to the east which was fairly good underfoot and leads to Langland Bay. To the west the Wales coastal path is much muddier and difficult to negotiate in parts. Lovely views. You go round Pwildu Bay because there’s a stream that pretty much cuts it off. Caswell bay is clean and people with dogs walk it whatever the weather. There’s a nice cafe that lots of people seem to visit. Didn’t need to find parking as we could park by the apartment.
