Cannot express enough how great this house was. A group of 12 stayed in the house to celebrate a 40th birthday. The house has plenty of space and anything you might need. Great views, quick walk to the town, great rooms and owner was more than helpful. We will no doubt look into staying here again in the future. It felt like a proper getaway even though we live 30 minutes away.

Armitage House is on the seafront, close to the harbour the forests and mountains. Also, it is a short, but very pleasant walk, into the centre of Newcastle. Recently refurbished, the house is beautifully finished and the gem in the crown is the stunning kitchen and dining area which overlooks the sea. The house is great for a large group, everyone seems to have space, yet it also works really well for a smaller numbers. Several decent pubs and restaurants, a really good cafe and even a local convenience store are all just a short walk away. Simply perfect!

Excellent accommodation with all the services you could wish. Aga in Kitchen was a bonus as was the heating and laundry equipment. The house is on the beachfront and in walking distance of town, coffee ,bakeries and restaurants.
Golf was the reason for our visit and this was the perfect location!

11 of us stayed in armitage house, to celebrate a family birthday. We were greeted on arrival to a lovely welcome basket with wheaten bread and soda farls. A really nice touch. The house is in an excellent location and had plenty of room for us all. It was 10 minute walk into the town, with superb views on the way. The gardens were ideal as we had small children with us, so they could play in the secured front or back garden. The owner Michael, was extremely helpful with any queries we had before and during our stay. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing break by the sea.
