I walked past it yesterday (3 Dec) and a sign announced that the site is closed 'for a year' due to demolition taking place in an adjacent building. I'm not sure when the year started or, for that matter, will finish so if you are interested in visiting the house it's worth checking when the site will reopen. In any case if you happen to be walking around it's worth having a look from the outside - it is indeed an imposing building.

This is a back in time sort of place with home made soup salad and sandwiches all fresh i can only comment on what i have had. Nice and quiet for a lunch or a coffee with a friend for a chat and break from shopping

Enjoy coffee and cake with friends in this historic little setting bang in the centre of Aberdeen. You have to visit in the day time as it is not open into the evening.

We wanted to visit the house and searched for an hour and when we finally found it discovered it is closed for a year while they do demolition next door. Find out if they are open before you walk your feet off like we did.

I had 2 nights in Aberdeen, but only heard about this place very randomly not long before I arrived.
Disappointed that it was closed due to demolition of a neighbouring building. Looks intriguing from the outside due to shape and bricks. Would have loved to see the inside for real rather than photos on the internet.
