“Packed with charm!”
Reviewed 18 February 2014 for a stay in January 2014

We recently stayed at the gorgeous Glenisla house, hosted by the equally gorgeous Anne!
Anne was a wonderful host who gave as great tips about Forfar as well as some historical facts. The house has wonderful charm and easily accommodated the 7 of us with ease as well as being walking distance to everything!
Ps: Ask Anne to introduce you to Forfar's own national treasure, Dolly!

“Delightful”
Reviewed 17 January 2014 for a stay in January 2014

I stayed at Glenisla House with my extended family and we all had a wonderful time. Anne was a fantastic host who could not have been more helpful and friendly if she tried. One of our party was sick during our stay and Anne was ever so kind during our time. The house was perfect for seven of us with all of us feeling there was plenty of space. If you are going to Forfar or nearby then this house is a must to stay in... I know I will!!

“Couldn't have wanted for more!”
Reviewed 9 January 2014 for a stay in December 2013

This is a lovely home with everything you could possibly need. Spacious and tidy. The owner provided some lovely welcome "treats" which gave a nice personal touch! We couldn't have been made to feel more welcome. The bed linen and towels were spotlessly clean and smelled lovely. The house was in a great location - a very quiet street but moments walk from the centre of town. This place is a great base for exploring the north-east of Scotland, there's something for everyone here. We would be happy to stay here again.

Liked best: Being able to take the dogs
Liked least: The house had a few too many personal effects such as knick-knacks & artificial flowers.

“Fantastic house, spacious, clean, and beautiful location.”
Reviewed 26 November 2013 for a stay in August 2013

An excellent experience! I spent a night in this wonderful house. The rooms were spacious, clean, and tidy. All the bathrooms were well kept, lots of clean towels. Living room was comfortable and has a nice view of the street in front. The area was beautiful - especially during the day. It was safe and quiet at night, and had a lots of free parking bays and areas.

Everything was user-friendly, the heaters, hot water, kitchen, fridge, etc. And there was plenty of instruction given too.

I would highly recommend this place if you are after a weekend getaway, a short holiday stay in Scotland, or long holiday in the north of the country.

“From home to home”
Reviewed 17 November 2013 for a stay in September 2013

In central Forfar but has parking. A short walk to main street and shops and cafes and carry outs. About three minutes walk to Asda. Loads of space inside. Cottage is cosy and clean. Really good information notes from owner. Really nicely furnished. . Dogs more than welcome.
We will certainly use it again.
