We had the most lovely 2 weeks stay at Cnorcaruan. Situated on the waterside with lovely views. Watched otters from the patio. The standard of accommodation was first class, very clean and comfortable. The owners were very welcoming and hospitable.

We stayed here for a week over New Year. This cottage is part of the owners property but self contained. The owners, George and Gabriella are very welcoming. On arrival we were met with wine, chocolates and shortbread! They have thought of everything to make this a home from home. We even had a Christmas tree and decorations. There is a laptop, all thing required for cooking, beautiful toiletries and much much more. The location is fantastic. The sound of the water drifting past is so relaxing. Watching the ever turning tides and the lovely falls of Lora is a joy. The tides are quite fast and watching the ducks go by backwards on the tide is amusing. We saw the coastguard go by and it's amazing how close you are to the passing boats. Hubby forgot cuff links and George was kind enough to lend him some. We dined at the local Oyster Inn. Food was ok but service was slow. We had asked about access to the bar for the Hogmany entertainment and to bring in the new year. We were dissapointed as the place was very overcrowded with very little seating and one person serving behind bar. We decided to head home to the cottage and brought 2013 in there. Glad we did now. There is no better setting. We found the cottage to be excellent value for money. We were close to Oban and visited a few times. Visited The Phoenix cinema. Great little place. Had a day trip to Fort William too. We would highly recommend this property but are afraid to because we are sure when other people read the reviews and visit , it will make it harder for us to return. The pictures are great, but don't come close to the perfect reality. Go see for yourself. We will strive to return in the future.

I recently stayed at Cnocaruan Sea View for a mini break and cannot fault the accommodation or location. The view is fantastic with plenty of wildlife, the accommodation is very homely and comfortable which is great on a rainy day. Connel has a shop, restaurants and a bar all within walking distance. It is also on route to Oban, Inverary and Fort William so is ideal for exploring the local area.
