Ours was a last minute booking but we're glad we made it. The 131 room is highly modern, with 131 some unique in-room electronics to control, heating, lighting, tv etc.. Our room was compact, but spotlessly clean, including the toilet and shower. Double bed was comfortable (twin rooms are also available) and there was a 40 inch TV with cable, u tube etc. at its foot. Rooms are not intended for lounging in. For that you can go down to the comfortable ground floor lounge/café bar. We paid in advance for continental breakfast,£5 each, but its more like continental plus, and eat all you can! We enjoyed it. Tea and a variety of coffee is available free all day to guests. Being in a street of cafes, restaurants and bars, and only 50 yards from Princes Street, the Oxford Street of Edinburgh, there is no shortage of good food. Its only 10 minutes walk from the Rail Station too. One of the best things about this hotel is its staff. Always smiling, always so polite and helpful. We will definitely be back.

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! Small but perfectly formed room with a brilliant view of Edinburgh Castle!
Myself and husband stayed two nights for his special birthday.
I phoned after I booked to request a room with a window and there was no problem at all. When we arrived there was a box of chocs and nice wee note from Kirsty and the team wishing him a happy birthday! Very special touch
Loved everything about this hotel especially the most comfy bed I’ve ever slept in! Would definitely return.
