Smells of chips and vinegar.
Chairs like a back street cafe..
Cheap tables uncomfortable low chairs.
Needs to step up.

Visited yesterday this bar is one of my favourites. Really close to some great bars on George Street. Prices are a bit cheaper which always draws me. Quality beers, spirits and great cocktails. Never eaten there but food always seems popular. Nice sitting at window watching city go by. But lost a mark yesterday for air conditioning being on in March in Edinburgh. It was cold already. Seating is a bit cut up but I’m sure that adds to the relaxed feel of a great bar. Go try it!!

Just having travelled up from Devon for a nice long weekend in Edinburgh. We found our apartment, dumped our bags after our early flight from Bristol. Next on our list was a hearty Scottish Breakfast.
We were dead lucky. Grand Cru was just around the corner .
A friendly Pretty young lady said we’re not open yet . But you can sit and have a coffee whilst we set up.
The coffee was excellent with some hazelnut syrup . Served in glass cup and saucer.
This was surpassed by the perfect full Scottish Breakfast.
Haggis
Black pudding gg
A real butchers sausage
Potato scone
Mushrooms
Beans
Nice artisan brown bread.
And a nice orange free range egg.
What was fantastic it was £7.95 including the coffee.
Nice. Cubicle snug and music to suit.
The staff were very pleasant and chatty. Gave us some great tips for our visit.
We went back on our last morning for another breakfast and it was just as good.
Helped make a fantastic weekend in Edinburgh.
Thanks
