Nice friendly staff, free wi-fi in the lobby / cafe area. The bed was clean and comfortable and the location is great. I stayed 3 nights and I would certainly return.

The hostel is very well located, close to a square full of restaurants, pubs and a few minutes walking to Edinburg castle. The problem is that the rooms and toilets are disgusting. Comparing to other hostels in Europe, definitely is the worst hostel I've ever been.

Despite of some issues on cleanliness, I stayed in this hostel for 4 nights. It turned out to be very clean and actually nice. The location is awesome, you can reach everything by food, not worrying about transportation.

The hostel is a little odd with the colorful walls and staff is not very helpful (our heater was broke and just one staff member cared after we had to sleep for two nights freezing), but overall ok. If you worry about cleanliness - don't. It really is ok.

Perfectly located. Excellent facilities and nice staff. In addition, you can have a tasty meal in the lounge for a very reasonable price. The atmosphere is excellent. I'd really come back
I'd just point out a couple of problems. First, some common areas, as the kitchen, are completely taken by the "long-stayers".
The second and most important problem of the hostel is that it is divided in two different buildings. The main building is great and it has really nice common areas and kitchen. However, the other building is not so nice...It has very narrow aisles, the rooms and facilities are older than the ones in the main building and the common areas and kitchen are messy and filthy. Specially the kitchen in that building is disgusting (but in the main building is perfect).
So, in conclusion, it's a place that you must choose, but making sure the staff is giving you the room in the main building.
I'd come back!
