If your looking for a place to stay this is it! Close to the royal mile but away from the bustle of the city. Moira the owner was on holiday when we arrived, but her son was there to greet us after we rang for directions, (easy to find even though we had never been to the city before)!. The apartment itself was wonderfully clean and modern, and there were lovely touches like a pint of milk waiting for us in the fridge, and a comprehensive folder of suggested sights to see, so if your looking for a place to stay I highly recommend this apartment. Many thanks and hope to stay again in the future

We loved our flat. It was everything we wanted: good location, comfortable, spacious ( for 1 bedroom)... Easy to use, intimate and cozy...after a bad experience in Paris , we were very pleased that the owner took pride in her flat. She decorated it with charm in mind. The bedroom had storage , king bed was appreciated, we loved the clothes washer, kitchen and dinette ....We appreciated being able to use the kitchen and flat as a mini home away from home. We stayed an entire week and wanted to return at the end of the day & even sleep in. The hostess cared about us & it showed... The small neighborhood "sounds" didn't bother us. My "only" suggestion is a more comfortable couch...a futon can be hard to sit on. The price allowed us to stay in Edinburgh when other accommodations would have been cost prohibitive . Having a grocery store on the same block, being at the edge of Old Town and just blocks from the Castle enhanced our trip....thanks for sharing your flat with us.

This is gorgeous apartment and very central. Few minutes away from Grassmarket and around there is local Sainsbury as well. Everything in apartment is clean and well organized. Its a good size apartment for the couple.
The owners are really nice and felt welcomed even before we arrived. Its a shame we did not meet Moira herself, but her husband was really helpful and made us feel welcome.
Its a great place to stay and I would definitely stay there again next time I'm visiting Edinburgh.

Had a great time in this nicely decorated apartment. It's small, especially for us tall Ducthies, but that wasn't a problem. There's a nice bedroom with a great bed and the city is remarkably quiet at night in my experience. It's a short walk to the old city centre and you can spend a week there alone or take a hop-on hop-off bus to explore. Great beautiful city!
If you travel by car, it's advisable to look up parking rates and zones on the internet. Parking spaces that are free in the weekend are at walking distance.

We stayed here for a week on a combined business/holiday.
The apartment is clean, well equipped with everything you need (including WIFI), and a good size if your traveling with 2. It is very homely.
Its very central - walking distance from Grassmarket, Princess street, Edinburgh Conference centre and the University. There is a Sainsbury Local around the corner as well as a descent Pub (Blue Blazer) and a great independent coffee/cake shop (Lovecrumbs).
The owner was very nice, attentive and responsive to our questions.
All in all a great place to stay and we would definitely stay there again..
