We were looking for a cafe for a light meal and noticed this place down a small street off the Royal Mile near St Giles church. Atmosphere was cosy and welcoming and the welcome friendly. The place was busy but we were served promptly. Food was above average and we enjoyed our little interlude. Prices are reasonable too. Would come back again.

They have interesting plates at interesting prices. Enjoyed the place as it's small and charming. Service is good and food also.

For a quick stop it is perfect!

Really lovely decor, friendly servers and in an excellent location! The sandwiches were really nice, a little pricey but definitely worth it!

Went in looking for breakfast and ordered a bacon roll and cappuccino. The bread was stone dry. The bacon was very limited on quantity and microwaved. It tasted disgusting!

The cappuccino was very weak and I could not taste the coffee.

The price for breakfast which I would have given 0 out of 10 was extortionate and I would not return.

The staff polite and pleasant. The premises clean and from the outside it looks great - all fur coat and no knickers!

This is a very nice looking premises. Rustic. Interesting. It stops there however. Lunch was basic. Tomato soup tasted like pureed canned tomatoes without a hint of basil. BLT basic. You have to make your own with small cherry Tom's and lettuce on side. Two glasses of mediocre wine. Thirty euro. Repeat. 2 ordinary sandwiches. 2 wine and one soup. Not a problem if food was good but sadly very ordinary and the service was desperate. Slow and unfriendly. I think this cafe needs an overhaul. I as a tourist felt like I was being tolerated and all the staff appear to be wishing they were somewhere else.
