We had a brilliant weekend at the 5-star Fairmont Hotel in St. Andrews. The staff were lovely and friendly. The room was spacious and well equipped. We enjoyed a much-needed 2 night break at the hotel.
Our room was large, with a nice sea view.
The spa was amazing, as usual, and we both enjoyed the treatments (a North Sea hot stone massage and a deep muscle massage) - they were excellent and we felt totally relaxed afterwards.
We had drinks and dinner in Kittocks on the Friday night, which was good.
Breakfast both mornings was great - one of the best buffet breakfasts you can get. I heard one of the staff say that on a Sunday morning, no one goes for breakfast at 9am, but at 10am, 300 people descend!; it wasn’t quite that bad, but there was a large queue, but we didn’t have to wait too long to be seated.
We will definitely be back, hopefully once the St Andrews Grill is open and we can have dinner with a view.
Special thanks to the member of staff who saved my life with an iPhone charger after I forgot to pack mine (unfortunately I didn’t get his name).

The overall experience was fantastic!
The only down side is that it is expensive for drinks and bar food at the hotel....particularly when you are there with a large family group!
The kids play room is great but could be a bit bigger .

Fantastic couple of days. A warm and friendly welcome from Ollie on arrival set the tone. Lovely spacious room, with two comfortable double beds and a fabulous bathroom. We dined in Kittocks Den, the staff were very professional and attentive and the food was delicious. Jessica's cocktail making second to none and would most certainly recommend. Glen served us in the Zephyr Bar and was able to provide us with some of its history which was a nice touch. The Spa too lived up to our expectations, thank you Karolina for a great facial. Would certainly recommend this hotel, the staff go above and beyond to make it a truly memorable experience. Thank you. Look forward to seeing you again soon.

A haven on the hills looking down on St Andrews - we had an awesome two night stay where we indulged in amazing food, received excellent service and managed to completely relax just the two of us. From check in to departure everything was lovely. Room super comfortable, staff attentive and helpful and overall it was lovely to return to a favourite place
