If you hit one pub establishment in the Glasgow West End, make it Oranmore! This amazing space was once filled with parishioners and saved to preserve the stunning buildilng to serve as a place of contemplation of all things God gave us, barley and even peat! The meat pies and fish and chips are some of the best and the beer and whisky selection alone are worth a trip! Be sure to stop by and confess to the beer keeps, I'm sure your secret's safe with them! :)

I've been to Oran Mor many times for drinks with friends, and every time has been a great time. However, this was the first time that we visited with food in mind.
Oran Mor is a marvelous converted church at the apex of Byres Road. Its stylish interior has been reflected in its expensive drinks menu. My friends & I were surprised however at how cheap & cheerful the breakfast menu was. You can get a roll & sausage for £1.50!
I ordered the Feta, Red Onion & Bacon Omelette and it was delicious. The ingredients worked well together and it was washed down with a good latte.
I spent ~£18 for two meals + drinks, which considering the venue was a very good deal. We were all impressed and decided that another visit was in order.

Always a great venue, music has now changed which i think the last cd was stuck in the player so a think they have bought a new hi.fi system. The bar staff are great especially the older woman who likes hobby horses.

Good selection of drinks & food. Great concert venue with excellent sound & bar facilities. If you wish to make a full night of it taking in a gig, I can recommend a pre-concert meal. Good menu, and I can recommend the seafood platter for 2 to share! Usual Glasgow prices :-)

Very interesting building - church transformed into a bar - worth a visit and try the cocktails. Go early if possible before it gets fashionably busy
