I would recommend going at 1pm on weekdays to hear the free organ concert. There is also so much to do that you could spend the whole day there. Excellent FREE visit.

Have visited the Kelvingrove Museum many many times, and finally got around to visiting the park on the other side of the road.

It is a lovely big park straddling the River Kelvin. It was very busy as school holidays and a sunny day, but there was plenty of space for all.

There is a large children's play area, including a skate park that was being well used, and further in toilets and a café.

Liked the memorial fountain commemorating the inauguration of Glasgow's water supply from Loch Katrine and surrounding open green space.

As a bonus a pipe band were being tuned up before joining the Piping Live event in the centre of Glasgow.

Great place to walk around and relax, some good places to visit nearby like the University, Kelvingrove Art Museum and several sporting grounds to enjoy activity if so inclined.

I took my kids to this park on a beautiful sunny day hoping to spend the entire day enjoying nature, playgrounds, and more. Our first view of the park was breathtaking. We were on top of the hill looking down into the river and across to the Kelvingrove Museum and University. We ventured down to the playground and compared to playgrounds in Germany, it was very sterile and packed like ants. There is a cool skate park nearby, but my kids got bored pretty quick and we ventured on. There are many walking paths through the park, but I never had the feel that I had escaped the city, like one might at a city park in Amsterdam or Berlin. It is worth the view, but plan to spend an hour, maximum 2 here.
