Owner description: The medieval Glasgow Cathedral has been in constant use for worship for over 800 years, and is of great architectural and historic interest. Highlights include one of the finest post-war collections of stained glass windows in Britain, and the ceiling in the Blackadder Aisle which was built around 1500 by Archbishop Blackadder. Cared for by Historic Scotland and open to visitors throughout the year from 9.30am except Sundays when it is open at 1pm. Recitals and special family events are a regular feature. Closing times vary seasonally.

Beautiful building, surrounded by several other beautiful buildings and the graveyard. The whole area is really nice, its near lots of good pubs and resturants, well worth a visit.

It’s a quick visit, but very beautiful on the inside. And afterwards you can go to the Necropolis just behind the cathedral

We thought this was a newer cathedral than it is. It is warm and inviting inside. There are people to guide you around it. The undercroft is pleasant.

Visited the Cathedral whilst staying in Glasgow.

The cathedral itself is (for those into architecture) a good example of Gothic architecture. There is an under cathedral sort of area which is quite large and is similar to a crypt. There is the tomb of St Mungo - hence St Mungos Cathedral.

There is a small gift shop in the corner of the cathedral but it lacks tea rooms either on site or next to it.
