Great history and lots to do round that area.
Oldest house in Glasgow across road and various other buildings to visit.
Lots of history in the Necropolis walking through large graveyard behind cathedral.

The Glasgow Cathedral has an interesting history and worth taking a guided tour so as not to miss the detailed history some of which has been crafted by the stonemasons.

Its a bit sparse inside but beautiful architecture. Love going to the Christmas Carol Service on 24 December. Guides are helpful and cheery. Not overly gaudy or decorated but lovely none the less

Really old and impressive. Huge space with lots of history. We had a special treat as the organist was playing the entire time we were there. Make sure you go down to the lowest level and explore down there too.

Took my daughter while we were in Edinburgh and she loved it. Beautiful gothic building that is still a functioning church. A must see if you are there. My daughter is 10 and very into history so it was a wonderful piece of the city to see.
