We went to Scotland for The Open and stayed for 8 days - a fantastic time! The AC Mariott is in a great location, close to Central and Queen Street train stations, Buchanan Bus station, Hop On and Off Bus Tour as well as Express Bus to airport. Very walkable around the city. The facility is new, clean - ac works wonderful! The hotel was very busy, but we were well taken care of by the staff. Can't say enough about the restaurant breakfast staff - Shannon and Evie - so pleasant and very welcoming. The guys at the bar were excellent as well - gave excellent Scotch recommendations and also gave some awesome local restaurant tips. You can have a top-notch facility, but the staff is what can make or break a business. Hope management recognizes what gems they have!

Room tip: Showerhead is a little tricky - push the button and push knob away from you

Good Hotel

Overall a very clean and welcoming hotel, staff were all friendly, rooms were big and beds comfortable, very central so great having everything at your doorstep, we were also able to park the car at a ncp just along the road. My only gripe i have with my stay is, breakfast although this was ok, please tell the chef/cook to cook the black pudding and hash browns in less oil, or better still no oil, I couldn't eat either as they were dripping in oil. On the whole id definitely stay again 👍

Room tip: Book the red route sight seeing bus, it takes your day up visiting different parts of Glasgow

Convenient location and brand new.

Great location. Brand new hotel. We were there for the Open so the hotel was quite packed. Nonetheless, the staff remained attentive given the number of people in the hotel. The hotel restaurant and lounge were great as well. Close to multiple forms of public transportation and other restaurants and bars.

Ignore the other reviews about the a/c. Temperature in room was very comfortable.

Overall great with a few minor quirks

Beautiful hotel. We stayed in the historic part that has been renovated. Very very pretty, no AC but the fan helped. Super location close to the train station. Great restaurants near by. The breakfast buffet was just ok. The bar was lovely, they take the time to make a great cocktail. They just need to ditch the maraschino cherries in a Manhattan and get proper Luxardo’s. Stuart is a terrific bartender. If we are ever back in Glasgow we definitely stay here again.

Room tip: Avoid the scrambled eggs , be sure to grab a cocktail with Stuart.

Will definitely be back

We are currently staying here & are very impressed so far . Location is excellent, 5 minutes from Queen street station & merchant city. The building is a lovely mix of old & new , rooms spacious with a luxurious feel.Gym is open 24 hours which is handy for the early risers .Breakfast plentiful , could possibly be warmer but maybe it’s just my preference.
All the staff I’ve met so far have been polite & friendly, special mention to Sharon in the restaurant who went above & beyond to make sure our guest experience was exceptional. Can’t wait to return
