I'd wanted to do this for ages. I think it would have been much better if they hadn't messed up on the room preparation. They listen to you from outside and give you hints on a screen if you get stuck (obviously there's a time constraint). Unfortunately, the room hadn't been put together properly after the last people had been in, and a key was hidden in the wrong place. This meant that we were solving clues out of sequence, and didn't really know what we needed to be focusing on. At times we felt a bit lost . Eventually they realised there was a problem and the guy opened the door and chucked in the key we SHOULD have had to open the thing we should have opened in the first place. By this time we'd skipped a step which left us really confused.
There were four of us - I was the instigator of the experience and didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would, the one who thought he'd hate it really enjoyed it despite the hiccup, and the other two just bickered over the clip board.
Overall we all enjoyed the experience of trying to work in a team with four team-leaders and no minions, the puzzles were fun, the answer to the mystery was the least of it to be honest. It's an enjoyable way to spend an hour, and I'm sure it would have been much better if they hadn't messed up on the preparation. We agreed we'd try another room sometime if we can get a discount voucher from Groupon or Itison. I was a bit disappointed they didn't offer a discount for another visit at least and didn't want to spoil the day by complaining..... Anyway, we went for gin at the Griffin after, so that helped!.
