The food was excellent and came in great quantity. The atmosphere was warm and staff friendly not to mention the beer was cold.

Having arrived in Aviemore today we went to Roos for lunch. Staff very friendly. I had a jacket potato with coronation chicken, a large , tasty potato with plenty of filling and salad on the side. My wife had a glutenfree cheese and tomato toastie (from a choice of 5 gf toasties - great) and my daughter had her usual, mexican sandwich with chips. With two Bundeburg ginger beers, total cost £20.50. Good food and good value for money. Recommended.

We stopped in here after a trip on the steam railway for a bite to eat. I ordered a ham and cheese panini with fries and my partner had a baked potato with tuna - the food was perfectly edible and it was quickly served - all good if you are hungry. That said when you read their website it promises an australian dining experience - there was little to no australian influences other than a surfboard above the bar and some sparse pictures of the country so i'm not sure they can back up that claim; I would have expected some aussies to be working there or at least some dishes that are purely australian. Sadly the staff were all local, and the menu could have been a menu from virtually any other chain restaurant. At this level (casual dining) you'd be better with La Taverna along the road, which offers an authentic atmosphere, better quality food and better value.
