I didn’t expect much as it is adjoined to a Bunkhouse. It is also slightly off the town’s main thoroughfare. Having said that, it commands a good location with seating next to the River Spey opposite. I was alone and opted for the Old Mill for some food. Although fully booked on an early summer Saturday, they found me a table with a promise to vacate within 90 minutes- no problem. Loads of people were coming through the door on-spec asking for tables, only to be turned away. The bar was busy too as well as the outside areas on either side of the road. I opted for the sirloin, mushroom sauce, potato dauphinoise and roasted cauliflower. It was an exceptionally well cooked and presented meal. The fresh bread with simple salt & pepper butter was equally as nice. I will return, but making sure that I have a reservation. Thank you.

We live in Inverness and thought a wee trip down to the old Bridge Inn was just what we needed . Location as always is beautiful and the weather was fantastic . There were two barmen on duty one of which was an absolute gem ( dark hair and glasses ) . Very friendly and welcoming . However the apparently more senior bar man( no idea if he was senior or not but he gave that impression!) was very brisk and not in the least friendly when we asked if we could have something to eat . It was nearly 4pm and although we accepted when he told us the kitchen was shut his manner left a lot to be desired. It’s tourist season and folk eat at times during the day . Maybe a wee lesson in customer service is needed .Apart from that we enjoyed our visit . Well done to the barman who made everyone feel welcome . Thank you

Managed to book on a Friday for a table of 4 the following (Sat) evening. We all had the sirloin steak and all loved it, perfectly cooked for differing preferences. The house french red was also brilliant! The bar and restaurant areas are separate, so it was a nice atmosphere until the loud music came on just before we left (around 10pm anyway). Prompt and polite service.

One star deducted due to the music, and waited for a while to pay by card, we went up to the bar in the end. All in all, would highly recommend.

Had a really good lunch at the Old Bridge on Saturday. The food was great. I had the risotto starter followed by pork belly main. £7 for the Main I couldn’t believe - can’t even get a starter for that in London! The service was also excellent - never easy with a large table of 7. Will be back.

First time in Aviemore and found this restaurant at tripadvisor/ erstes mal in Aviemore und dieses Restaurantim Tripadvisor gefunden. It was really a great expirience. Perfect and delicous food caused by the italia chef and very friendly and fast staff!!! Wer wirklich eine super Erfahrung. Das Essen war super lecker dank des Italienischen Kochs.
And, a great surprise, the waiter even found a half empty bottle of Grappe. This bottle was "imported" by the chef himself. Und, welche Überraschung, der Kellner fand eine noch halb volle Grappaflasche.
Reason enogh to go there the next day again. But pls don't ask for the Grappa, I guess empty in the meantime.
Das war Grund genug am nächsten Tag wieder hin zu gehen. Aber bitte nicht nach dem Grappa fragen.
Cheers and many thanks; nice to be your guest! Manfred
